Question

VA changed the law and the military benefits subtraction is no longer subject to age of 55 or more. When will TurboTax update the software to allow the subtraction.

VA forms are not expected to be ready until after 16 January.

Go thru the entire process again on the 17th.

I don't know exactly where it will be entered though...some states have it entered where you enter the 1099-R in the Federal section, then transfer the proper amounts/removal to the state section. Some states do it as part of the State interview......so check both areas after 16 January.
