Was my 401k contribution what they are looking for when they ask for Ira contributions

    No, 401k contributions are not IRA contributions. All you need to do is enter your W-2. Do not enter them in the IRA contribution section.

    No.    If you have a 401k through your employer, you entered that when you entered everything from all the boxes of your W-2.   Do not try to enter it again anywhere else in the software.  A 401k is not a traditional IRA.
