Question

What is 'Credit for AMT Paid in Prior Year?' I forgot to claim my Retirement Savings Contribution for 2018, is the AMT where I could recover that claim?

No, Credit for AMT Paid in Prior Year is a credit for having paid an extra tax called Alternative Minimum Tax. If you paid it in 2018, your tax return would include a Form 6251. Most people don't pay AMT.

If you want to get the Retirement Savings Credit added to your 2018 tax return, you will need to amend it.
