It depends on your age.  For 2024, the typical W-2 employee under 50 could contribute $23,000, those ages 50 and older could contribute an additional $7,500 for a total of $30,500.

 

For 2025, the typical W-2 employee can contribute $23,500, with the catch-up remaining unchanged; except certain individuals, ages 60-63 have a higher catch-up of $11,250.
