Question

what is the meaning of excess accumulations in retirement account mean? do I owe taxes? I took the rmd and split it between 2 accounts.

I can't understand the turbotax instructions on how to split RMD between two accounts. it thinks I didn't take enough out of one account.

    Excess accumulation means you did not take your full RMD.


    TurboTax is working on clarifying the RMD questions. There might be an update later this week. Go back through the questions next week and see if it's easier to understand.
