What should I do if I'm trying to enter a state in tpstate box for il-wit form and the website will not allow me to enter one? I cannot file without this being filled in.

"TP" means "taxpayer". Schedule IL-WIT, Illinois Income Tax Withheld, allows you to enter your withholding information in one place and calculate total Illinois withholding.

The program just wants you to verify the state withholding. If it is asking for the state, go ahead and enter IL. The withholdings should pull through from the input under the federal section.

If you are in a Review and see this error, enter the state in the place the error message provides rather than in the display of the form.

I am having the same issue. There's a box it wants you to input the taxpayer, it will not allow IL to go in the box, if i type anything it disappears as you input it. i looked over the entire page it brings up and there is no where else to input the state. i can not complete my taxes because it will not allow me to get out of review. it keeps saying the same issue. please someone have the answer. There is a lot of people having the same issue still.

Click on Federal Taxes or Wages and Income (or deductions and credits) from the left side panel to get out of the review. You need to make the edits from the federal interview screens - you can't fix address in the review. @AMYJAY
