Where is box 4 to report tax withheld??

The federal taxes withheld are in box 2 of the W-2.

The federal taxes withheld are in box 4 of the Form 1099

What exactly are you trying to do?

In my w2 it appears in box 2, where do I put it in the TTax form 1040?

When you are in the Wages and Income section, you will enter all the information from your W2 at that time. Have you entered your W2 exactly as it appears?

Box 4 is on 1099 forms. When you enter a 1099, There is a little checkbox underneath for My form has more info or boxes. Click on that and more boxes will open up. Enter withholding in box 4.
