Where do I report social security income?

Here are a couple of ways to get to the interview for a SSA-1099.

This is a shortcut method:

• Log in and open your return ("Take me to my return.")
• Once the return is open, click on the SEARCH tab in the top right corner.
• Enter SSA-1099 without quotes.
• Choose Jump to SSA-1099.
• Next screen will say:  Social Security Benefits, and will ask you if you received any.
• When you say "yes", then on the next screen you can tell TurboTax you received a SSA-1099.
• It will expand and show the data fields for you to fill out with the info from your form.

Or here's the regular navigation to get to the same place:

• Federal Taxes tab.
• Subtab "Wages & Income"
• "I'll choose what I work on", or it may say "Your Income", in which case scroll down to "All Income"
• Keep scrolling down to Retirement Plans and Social Security and click "Show More" to see the subtopics.
• Find subtopic Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099) and click Start or Revisit.
  
• Next screen will say:  Social Security Benefits, and will ask you if you received any.

• It will expand and show the data fields for you to fill out with the info from your form.
