Contributions to a DAF operated by a qualified charity that weren't used to reduce your taxable income from your RMD can be claimed as charitable contributions. If the money was transferred to the DAF directly from your retirement account, you can reduce the taxable distribution. If you transfer the money to the DAF or other charity yourself after receiving the distribution, you can take a charitable contribution.

Enter the amount you donated separately as a charitable contribution in Deductions and Credits, in the Donations to Charity section of TurboTax, just as you would any other cash contribution.

If your charitable contributions for this year exceed the amount you can deduct from income for this year, TurboTax will automatically carry the amount over to next year's return if you use TurboTax again.

See this article for more information on claiming charitable donations in TurboTax.
