I received a social security benefit statement the day after I filed for my tax refund. Should I amend or is there a way to add it to my refund?

Once you have e-file and your return has been accepted, your return is in the hands of the IRS, no longer with Turbo Tax, therefore, you will not be able to change it at this time.  It would be best to wait until you receive your refund before amending to prevent any delays.   As soon as you have received your refund, and before April 18th 2017,  you can complete and submit your amendment.

You can do this in Turbo Tax by selecting the year you would like to amend in the link below.  The amendment for 2016 will not be available until February 2017.
