Question

Who did you inherit this IRA from? This does not apply and it keeps asking me this questions. It is a 1099 R that was rolled into my Roth Ira from a qualified plan. I

I have deleted it and re-entered the data again.  it still asks this question.   any help?

I wonder if the code on your 1099-R box 7 is wrong Let me understand. You took a ROTH distribution and rolled it into a qualified plan. Rollover means you did not take the money into your hands. , See Retirement Plans FAQs regarding IRAs Rollovers and Roth ...

 

That would be box 7 code h. Code 4 is inherited. Please review your 1099R and the entries for box 7.
