Why did my $6,000 Roth IRA contribution not qualify as a deduction?

My wife and I (married filing jointly) each contributed $6,000 to our Roth IRA accounts and expected to get a deduction on our 2021 taxes. The TT software told me that the contributions don't qualify.

Roth contributions are not deductible but you owe no tax when qualified distributions are withdrawn.
