When you enter your 401k contributions TurboTax will calculate the Retirement Saving Credit if you qualify.If you don't want to upgrade to claim the credit, you need to check that you were a full time student in 2020. Login to your account Select Federal from the left menu. Go to Deductions and Credits. Scroll down to Retirements and Investments. Select Edit next to Retirement Savings contribution credit Continue and make sure to answer Yes to the question "Where you a full time student during any 5 months in 2020?"
