Why do I need a 1099-NEC?

WE did not have any income except Social Security and our Pensions. We did not receive any 1099-NEC forms, Why would we need one?

You may have accidentally clicked on that instead of a 1099-R. To delete it:

1. Sign into your account, select Pick up where you left off

2. Select Tax Tools, click on the drop down arrow

3. Select Tools

4. Under Other helpful links, choose Delete a form

5. Select Delete next to Form 1099-NEC and Continue with My Return
