Why does turbotax no deduct my NYS teacher pension from NTS tax?

When you enter the 1099-R in the Federal section of the program, make sure you indicate the source of those $$ on a page following the main 1099-R form...if you didn't do that, then the $$ won't get subtracted from NY income:

Many things have been corrected in the latest updates to TurboTax. Are you still experiencing this problem?

 

Make sure you have ran all updates.
