Question

Why I am receiving a retirement savings credit when I made no contributions? I only contributed to my 401 K with company. All my answers to the questions were no or blank

If you were enrolled in a 401k with your employer, the 401k information was on your W-2 and it went to the saver credit section automatically when you entered the boxes of your W-2.

I see you are posting from the Free Edition.  If the saver credit is so small that you do not want to be upgraded to a paid version of the software, you can tell the software in My Info that you were a student.  That will disqualify you for the credit and keep you in the Free Edition.

Or—-Use this IRS site for other ways to file for free.  There are 8  free software versions available from the IRS Free File site
