Why is turbo tax saying I have a form 5329 when I do not have one?

The 1099-R entry section has changed and unless you took all RMD and got through the questions by saying all of it was RMD and all of went to RMD, the program may think you owe a penalty for not taking enough RMD.

Instead of upgrading, check your 1099-R entries and view the forms you have. You want to look at all worksheets as well. Choose to see everything.

To print or view  your forms:

• In desktop, switch to Forms Mode. 
• For online:
  1. On the left side, select  Tax Tools
  2. Select Print center
  3. Select Print, save or preview this year's return
  4. If you have not paid, select pay now.
