Question

Why is TurboTax asking to enter information in box 5-7 of a 1099-NEC when there is not information entered on the form?

    If boxes 5-7 are empty, you can leave them blank on your entry.   There may have been a character typed into one of the fields which generated the follow-up question.   Put your cursor in those fields and hit the enter and/or backspace button a few times to make sure the fields are empty.
