Question

Why is turbotax telling me I did not take the required minimum distribution when I did? How to get past this error?

    If you have code D in box 7 then the issue has been fixed in TurboTax Desktop. Please make sure you update the software.

     

    You might have to delete and reenter your Form 1009-R.

    I had this same problem and tried to delete it and the form for penalty and it still shows error. How to get past this? It is a never ending loop!

    If you are using TurboTax Desktop the issue with code 4D and 7D has been fixed. Please make sure you updated the software. You might have to delete and reenter Form 1099-R.

     

    For TurboTax Online the fix is expected by the end of the week. Please check back at the end of the week.
