Why were my pension reductions from NY return greatly reduced?

You would need to return to the federal program an review your 1099- r entries.  After you enter the form, you continue until you come to a screen where you choose the source of the pension.  Your entry there determines the taxable portion in NY.


Enter 1099-R in the Find window in the federal program, hit enter, then click the Jump To.
