Question

Why were my RMDs included in my pension income on my NJ state return? I thought NJ did not tax RMDs

New Jersey does tax a potion of the RMD based on the percentage of earnings in the account.

According to the state of New Jersey, both the taxable and non-taxable portions are reported on NJ-1040.
