Question

Why would GA send my refund by check when it should have been deposited? I know my information was correct bc I had to pay federal and they took it form my account.

It's at the discretion of the GA Department of Revenue. One reason may be that all first-time Georgia income tax filers, or taxpayers who have not filed in Georgia for at least five years, will receive a paper check.
