Question

Wife contributed 7k to traditional IRA. This should lower MAGI under the EITC limit ($66,819) but says we still don't qualify. Is this correct? Puts us at $66,594.

Married filing jointly. I have a retirement plan in the military TSP. She does not have income or a retirement plan.

    How old are you?   Did you have income from working?

    Both your earned income and AGI have to qualify for the EIC
