Will I have to file Indiana state taxes if my only source of income is social security?

Indiana does not tax Social Security benefits.

 

If your only source of income has been Social Security you are not required to file a federal tax return either, unless you received a 1095A for marketplace health insurance.

 

If you did not yet receive the 3rd EIP payment you will want to file a federal return so that you can use the recovery rebate credit  in Federal Review to get the $1400 stimulus.
