I realized that ebay sent me a 1099-K this year (due to the new thresholds) and they had my wrong address. It's from a state I have not lived in for years. They said they cannot change it. To make things more complicated, I moved from a state with state income tax to a state without income tax. I'm just nervous what this will mean. What are the implications of this? I have not filed yet. Is there anything I can or should do before I do file?Is there a form I can fill out or should I try to contact the incorrect state that is on this 1099-k? Wrong address (including state) on 1099-K sent to me by eBay

I realized that ebay sent me a 1099-K this year (due to the new thresholds) and they had my wrong address. It's from a state I have not lived in for years.

They said they cannot change it. To make things more complicated, I moved from a state with state income tax to a state without income tax. I'm just nervous what this will mean.

What are the implications of this?
I have not filed yet. Is there anything I can or should do before I do file?
Is there a form I can fill out or should I try to contact the incorrect state that is on this 1099-k?

Are you talking about the address listed for you on the 1099-K or information reported on the form? If the address they have for you is incorrect, there are no issues other than you want to make sure you update it with eBay. This will not effect your return at all.

Did you have any state tax withholding listed on the 1099-K? If no, again, this will not effect your return at all, even if a state is listed. As long as no withholdings are listed, there is nothing you need to correct.
