Question

"You don't have to pay additional tax on your early withdrawal." I qualify for the COVID exemption but it seems like I'm still subject to the 10% penalty despite this.

Even though the system says that I qualify for an exemption of the 10% penalty tax, it later accesses the tax to my return. Is there a glitch or am I missing something? My distribution was a COVID related one yet it seems that the penalty is still there. Is there a known workaround for this?
