If you are seeing this message as you enter your W-2 information into TurboTax, as a result of having multiple employers, then the excess amount will automatically be refunded as part of your tax return.  

 

If the situation is due to a single employer withholding too much Social Security tax, then the process of getting this corrected is more complicated.  Take a look at the following TurboTax article for more details:  Can I get a refund for excess Social Security tax withheld?

First check your entries on the W-2 screen for accuracy ... and if you are married make sure the forms are attached to the correct spouse.
