It depends:

  • If you only have the 1099-NEC for your business income with no expenses, then see 1099-NEC.
  • If you have expenses to go with your income, you can go ahead and fill out your business information and go through those questions. When it comes to income section, select the 1099-NEC, it will be the top option.
  • If you have a business and need to create the 1099-NEC to send out, then you will need to use Quickbase Employer Forms. You can create the forms needed for free, just log in with the same user name and password as for TurboTax. Must be using Business or Home and Business

We have the Turbo Tax Home/Business Downloaded version and I need to create two 1099-NEC forms for my Rental property for 2022.  I did create them on other software and printed them to be sent by 1/31.  My issue now is that I need to include these with my eFile and can't seem to add them anywhere.  Can you help?

You don't include the actual 1099NEC.  Just enter the total amount as an expense on Schedule E for your rental.  You did send them in with the 1096 Transmittal form?
