IRS Publication 17 page 75 reports election precinct official as Other Income.
To report an IRS form 1099-NEC income as Other Income in TurboTax Online, follow these steps:
- Select Federal from the left side menu.
- Select Wages & Income from the left side of the menu.
- Scroll down to Other Common Income. Click down arrow to the right.
- Click Start / Revisit to the right of 1099-NEC.
- Select Hobby at the screen What type of income is on your 1099-NEC?
The entry will be reported:
- on line 8z of Schedule 1 of the Federal 1040 tax return, and
- on line 8 of the Federal 1040 tax return.
