Question

I did not receive a 1099-NEC form this year but I know the company's EIN number. Do I enter the wages as an NEC or as "other" income?

I know the company's EIN because they gave me an NEC form last year. Do I pretend that I received an NEC form by entering my income in "Box 1" using their EIN, or do enter the income as just "other self-employed income"?

Enter it as other income. You don't want the IRS trying to match up a form that isn't there. It was less than the required amount to send you one.
