Question

If I am reporting self-employed income on my federal taxes (paid via check). Is that amt already covered under the 'wages, salaries, etc.' area of the PA State return?

Or, should that income be entered under the 'miscellaneous compensation summary' area of the State return? I don't want to be double-taxed for it, if it's already being counted in the main 'wages' portion of the return. It appears that it is counted in the 'wages' area, but want to confirm with a TurboTax Expert. Thanks!

    If you were a resident of PA all year, you don't need to do anything specific to allocate your business income to PA.  It will be reported on line 4 of your individual tax return, PA-40.  Verify the numbers are correct by filing, by taking a look at the completed tax return before transmitting.  Here is how to see that: Print a copy of my return
