Question

If I received a 1099-nec from an individual DBA a business with a box 1 amount less than $5000, do I have to include this on my tax return?

I traveled to different conferences and used my phone and internet to relay information and coordinate meetings regarding signed sports memorabilia and received the 1099-nec as I was compensated for this.

Yes, you have to report this income as self-employed income.
