The figure on the 1099-MISC represents income in respect of a decedent (IRD) and the recipient of the 1099-MISC is responsible for reporting it to the IRS.
If the estate received the 1099-MISC with its name and tax ID number (EIN), then the estate will have to file a Form 1041 if the amount exceeds the filing threshold.
Income in respect of a decedent may be reported in TurboTax CD/Desktop on IRS form 1041. Filing requirements for IRS form 1041 (page 5) are:

The fiduciary (or one of the joint fiduciaries) must file Form 1041 for a domestic estate that has:
1. Gross income for the tax year of $600 or more;
2. A beneficiary who is a nonresident alien; or
3. If you held a qualified investment in a qualified opportunity fund (QOF) at any time during the year, you must file your return with Form 8997 attached.
Income in respect of a decedent may be reported in TurboTax CD/Desktop on IRS form 1041.
Report income in respect of a decedent under Federal Taxes, then Income.
