It depends. If you have Form 1099-NEC then this indicates a payment as an independent contractor. This would be reported as self employment income, using Schedule C. The Form 1099-MISC is no longer used for nonemployee compensation (NEC).
You can enter the amount directly as cash income from your business or you can enter the Form 1099-NEC as follows:
Search (upper right) 1099nec > Click the Jump to ... link or Select What is a 1099-NEC? > begin your entry of Form 1099-NEC by clicking the hyperlink > TurboTax will take you directly to the entry point.
