The 1099-NEC will not be accepted with SS number. keeps asking nor EIN

    Change the format to xxx-xx-xxxx (like a social security number), see image below.  

     

    Make sure you are choosing the correct format - there are 2 options (choose the 2nd for your form).   Also make sure you have no extra characters, don't enter the dashes (TurboTax will automatically insert them depending on the format chosen); it should be a 9 digit number.
