Question

We are no longer self employed, we are only filing a simple return. Why is turbo asking for self employment income ?

If you filed with TurboTax last year, it is possible that the program is using last years info to help fill out the current year tax return. This is a feature to help guide you through the program based on pulling the forms you filed last year.

 

Just make sure to answer "No" to the question when asked if you have any self-employment income.
