What to put in schedule c box 3 on 1099 MISC form when the answer is zero? I tried putting 0, n/a, not applicable and leaving it blank but it keeps saying to fix it?

im not self employed but I had to fill out this form because I work for a daycare and we got extra money during covid

If you do not have a business or self-employment income, you would not need to complete Schedule C.

What does your 1099-Misc Form say in Box 3 - Other income? If there is an amount, you would need to report it on your tax return. If the form is blank, you can delete the form by selecting the trash can icon as shown in the following image to delete the input.

Please see this link for a breakdown of how the 1099-MISC form would be entered into TurboTax if you determine the payments were not received as an independent contractor.
