Where to add my 1099 NEC? When I navigate to the self-employment section, the questions make it sound like I own this business, which I do not.

This is an independent contracting part-time job that I received a 1099-NEC for, but when I imput the information it does not look like I am inputting in the correct place. However, I do not see anywhere else to input.

When you are an independent contractor you do have your own business even if you did not make it official. You are the business. The income you earn as an independent contractor is treated exactly the same as the guy who opens a small plumbing business. It is subject to Self-Employment taxes and reported on Schedule C. So it sounds like you are entering it in the correct place.
