In the past many years, I purchased Turbo Tax and I was able to share mu program wit family and a few freinds with no extra charge. Is this still possable?

You are allowed to download the TurboTax Desktop software on different computers but the limit of installs is set to three computers. If you are using the TurboTax Online software you may share your password to your account but know that each and every one of the returns will be seen by all who use this software as only 1 activation code is used per account.

Please clarify - If using TurboTax Desktop (Standard) 2024, and I allow my adult children to also use it (up to 3 computers and 8 returns total), will we all be able to see each other's returns? Thanks.

@KDW5 If you use TurboTax Desktop, then your tax returns are only saved to your computer, not to your TurboTax account online. So, if you are using different computers and are not sharing access to each other's files, you won't be able to see each other's returns.

You can also password protect each TurboTax Desktop return, if you are sharing a computer or are on a network with the others. You can do this by opening a return and then selecting File>Set password.
