T3 Boxes 52 and 53 are doubled. Do we enter the same in each box?

T3 slip has 2 box 52 and 2 box 53. Do we enter the same amount in each pair or just one box for each?

The 2 box 52s are gains before June 25, 2024, and the 2 box 53 are for gains after June 24, 2024. So you can either fill in all four (if you have foreign gains) or add the amounts from 52 & 53 for both periods and just put them into box 53 (nothing in either box 52). The new capital gains rate is not going into effect this year, so both periods are taxed at the same one-half (50%) rate.
