T77 calculations are going to line 55 Available for use in future years

Hi,

I am filling out my T777 but the credit is showing up in Line 55 and not Line 54. I want to apply this credit to 2024 and not carry it over to a future year but I see no way to select that. Do I have to do something specific to have the credit apply for 2024? I have Designated Workspace selected and it is calculating the credit based on percentage of workspace.

Good day!

It looks like the software is recommending putting off using this credit for the future as it is optimized to prevent claiming home office expenses in case it puts you under a loss. In other words, your expense cannot be greater than your income.
