As per our TurboTax article A Guide To The Disability Tax Credit

    • If you are approved, the CRA will send a notice identifying the years for which you may claim the DTC. At the end of the identified time period, you will be required to resubmit an application if you want to continue to claim the DTC.

Please see How do I claim the disability tax credit?

    • If you qualify for the DTC but don't need all of the credit, the remaining credit may be transferred to your spouse. Note these credits on line 32600 along with any other transfers.

How to Claim the Disability Amount Retroactively will guide you if needed for previous years.

For further information, you can also go through the following Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) link for filing the return with disability tax credit, Claiming the disability amount once the DTC application is approved
