I studied FT and unemployed in 2023, have Tuition Credit 2202. Partner filled a "coupled" return for 2023 both of us. Pls do I have to file a separate return for myself?

I am trying to file a return for myself and Turbo tax asked if I want to "couple" the return. This is our first tax return in Canada.

You don't need to submit a separate tax return for yourself if you partner has already filed both tax returns.

If your partner used TurboTax Online to file taxes, you can access filed returns in their TurboTax account - under "My Returns" on the left side choose "View all tax returns", then click on "Access your filed tax returns".
