As per theCanada Revenue Agency (CRA), student grants/bursaries whether full-time or part-time arenon-taxable.However, it should still be reported on your tax return under Line 13010.
Because we do not have access to your T4A information slip or know if you have a T2202, we have included an image below to indicate which box 105 you are to use. If you have a T2202 and you went to college or university full time, you will include your tuition amount in the first box. As per the grant part, it will either go in the third or fourth box depending where your grant came from. We would advise you to contact the Canada Revenue Agency to clarify this for you at1-800-959-8281.
Both my children have a T4A from Canadian Student Financial Assistance Program. The grant money was federal and provincial student grant money included in their student loans. They both have a T2202 and went to school full time. I will try and contact CRA.
