Question

My son's tuition transfer amount to me is $1544. When I try and enter this amount on my taxes, it states his max transfer amount is $0. Am I entering this incorrectly?

I completed my son's taxes first but haven't filed yet.  Does TurboTax pull info from his return into mine regarding the tuition transfer?

    The tuition transfer is non-refundable, so if neither you or your spouse/partner owe taxes, then you won't be able to use the transfered amount.
