My tax return is showing 7000 refund. Can i reduce the tution tax credits used?

7000 tax refund is a problem?

You can't change how much tuition is being used. You have to use as much as possible on your current return before you can transfer or carry forward any tuition. It may not look like you need to use the tuition, but the refund/balance owing figure that you are looking at is being calculated with the tuition being used.

Also please note that refund/amount owing is an estimate until you have finished your return. If the number still looks wrong at the end, you can go back and double check that you've entered everything correctly.
