We got a 2018 MD tax refund.  I don't think TurboTax is handling it correctly. It did not (but should) enter it on line 8 (Form 502). Instead it has entered it on line 41 (?????).  This results in a large refund that we shouldn't get. What can I do???????????

Go back and look at where you entered this amount.

You should have entered the state tax refund on the federal return under Wages & Income->Other Common Income->State and Local Tax Refunds on Form 1099-G.

From your description, it appears that you entered it under Deductions & Credits->Estimates and Other Taxes Paid->Estimates->State Estimated Taxes for 2019.

You will need to delete it from the latter and add it to the former.
