2023 Business version, still having issues with VA State 502 PTET, unable to enter either Zero or negative numbers

Section 1 - I have a negative number. In section II, line 6 it should calculate this as zero - it is not. I also can't change it. Help!

Seems this was an issue last year, why was it not fixed this year?

You may need to go to section 1 to change the numbers so that line 5 will appear as zero.  You have the ability to change this in Section 1 on lines 1,2, or 4 on VA form 502 PTET so that the total in line 5 is zero.

Once this is done, section 2 line 6 will populate as zero as a result of the change. As an FYI, if you have a negative number reported in Line 5 of Section 1, this number will populate Section 2 line 6 and will not default to 0.

Understand/thanks but then I would not be reporting the correct info in section 1. Further, my VK-1 and these fields would not match.  I would prefer not to raise any flags and/or have to provide any further explanation as to why I put in incorrect information.

Since this was an issue last year and I’m paying $150 for the software, I would prefer for it to work correctly. A simple expression on the form should fix this and or make section 2 editable.

I called TurboTax last week and they  were supposed to have a fix, put out. I did an upgrade tonight and it was not in the fix.

Come on TT!
