2210 form for 2020 software error on TT

I called TT and spoke with someone for nearly an hour to explain, re-explain, etc how the modified 2210 did NOT carry over the excess tax paid in larger first period to what would normally be the third period and generating an underpayment penalty. Fortunately, this got fixed before I submitted my taxes .. so my question is does TT let people know when they fix a problem that you brought to their attention ?  They are always "checking for updates" but what is being changed is not known 😞

It is not mandatory, but some of the technicians have come back and let me know that an issue I reported had been fixed.  Or they might ask for more information or explain why it was not an issue.  It just depends on who works on the issue that you submitted.  Your input is always appreciated.

When form errors are found and corrected then TT does send out email alerts to all users who have filed with that form in their return which is why they confirm your email before you file.  Pay attention to any emails from TT after you file as they are all not junk.

Once you have filed you really need to save the PDF and the .taxfile of the return for safekeeping so you always have a copy of the original return.   Save it to a removable storage unit like a thumb drive to keep it from getting lost or corrupted.
