Can I re-select a free state to file tax return, after accidentally selected a wrong state? otherwise I'll have to pay 39$ for additional state and the wrong state I cannot un-select.

If you are working in Turbo Tax software, go to your return>select file at the upper left hand corner>go to remove a state.  if you have more than one state, you can select which state to remove. If you have a Mac:

To delete forms in Mac, you can follow the instructions below:

    Mac Instructions

    1. Switch to Forms mode.
    2. In the left pane, select the form you want to remove (if you don't see it, click Open Form at the top).
    3. From the Forms menu, select Remove [form name].
    4. Follow any on-screen instructions to remove the form or forms.

Even after removing all forms of the wrongly selected state (double checked all state forms disappears), still I cannot re-select another state for free. I was re-directed to purchase page to pay for the correct state.
